A special day for the House of Beauty in Vienna: The reopening of the Douglas branch on Kärntner Straße marks the culmination of the extensive renovation, which has now given the branch a new lease of life. As general contractor, we had the honor of realizing this ambitious project and giving the store a modern and luxurious look.
In January, we took on the challenging task of adapting the branch in Vienna to Douglas’ new luxury concept. In order not to interrupt ongoing operations, we first set up an interim sales area so that customers could continue shopping.
Our work began with the complete gutting and continued with the coordination of the complete renovation in the area of building technology, fire protection renovation and general interior work. A particular challenge was the monument protection, the requirements of which we successfully implemented in the heart of Vienna.
The branch, which extends over two floors and covers a total of 795 square meters, now combines historical Viennese charm with modern elegance. Our team was responsible for the conversion of all floors, from the basement to the third floor, including the offices, technical and storage areas. Particular attention was paid to the architectural and structural components, which we harmoniously brought into harmony to create a modern, historical and luxurious beauty experience.
Despite additional work on fire protection, we completed this project within the scheduled time and even before the planned opening date. The reopening of the branch was an extraordinary event, marked by numerous guests and festive activities, and ceremoniously honored the new look. Our work and commitment paid off and we are proud to have made our contribution to this successful conversion.
Special thanks go to the project managers at Douglas, Mr. Bartholmeß and Mr. Manna, who placed their trust in us and commissioned us with this project, as well as to the building services planner Mr. Hilgers for their cooperative collaboration. We wish the team a successful start in the new premises and look forward to further joint projects.
