Donations instead of gifts – we would like to continue this tradition this year. Instead of traditional gifts, we embrace the true spirit of Christmas and donate to make a meaningful impact and support organizations that support important social causes. On the one hand, the choice fell on “Lebenshilfe im Kinzig- und Elztal”, an association that offers people with disabilities a wide range of work, employment and housing options.
We recently had the opportunity to visit the facility in Elzach and take a tour of their workshop. When we entered the workshop, it felt like we were entering the halls of a medium-sized company – a variety of products, people who work with dedication and precision. It was a world that radiated so much energy and engagement that you immediately felt welcome.
Chairman Karl Burger and workshop manager Dirk Singler took a lot of time to show us their work and tell us about their experiences. It was inspiring to see how they work and how much they appreciate our support. They will use our donation for the outdoor area of a new residential building.
On the other hand, we supported the social-educational residential community “KINDERLACHEN” in Enzesfeld-Lindabrunn, Austria. As a private youth welfare facility, it creates a stable and safe home for children and young people with traumatic life experiences – and with it new opportunities.
With this in mind, we wish everyone a happy holiday filled with love, peace and solidarity.
